Classes for February 2012 at The Wild Acorn:

Paint a Landscape with Acrylics – Friday, Feb. 10 from 10:00 to 3:00; $69.00.  Award winning artist, Paula Christie, will spend a full day focusing on painting a landscape beginning with the basic brushwork to produce a convincing sky and then moving on to the land/trees/water and detail.  All supplies are included.  You will leave with an 8x10” painting and a good start on how to produce your own landscape paintings.  Instructor:  Paula Christie

Paint a Still Life with Acrylics – Friday, Feb. 24 from 10:00 to 3:00.  This is a full day focusing on painting a still life with award winning artist, Paula Christie.  You’ll begin with the basic brushwork to produce a complimentary background.  You’ll learn how to achieve realistic detail using color and brushwork.  All supplies are included.  You will leave with an 8x10” painting and a good start on how to produce your own still life paintings.  Instructor:  Paula Christie

Beginning Pastels – Saturday, Feb. 18 and 25 from 10:00 to noon: $40.00.  Come dive into the world of pure color dipping your toes into color theory, creativity, the necessary tools and the beginning uses of the medium.  This will be four hours that will change how you look at your world and what’s in it.
