The Wild Acorn 

Happenings: 

  - First Saturday in February will be "Second Saturday" as I'm out of town on the 4th.  So mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 11th for the monthly party, which really is what it is:  live music, food, drinks, interesting people to talk to and lovely things to look at! 

This month the artist is a talented mother-daughter duo:  Lori and Lindsay Dickie.  Lori is a wood carver and Lindsay is undescribely good - you have to come see exactly what she does with a piece of wood to believe it.  They will demo in the window from 10:00 to noon.  Then from 6:00 to 8:00 is party time with Peter Lynch performing on the stage, more art from Lori and Lindsay, food by The Black Sheep, sweet Roger bartending, and you, making it all complete.

 - Classes are in full tilt with pastels and painting the major ones for February.  If you've ever wanted to create something on paper in color and the paint brush is not your friend, come play with pastels.  See more in the "Classes" section. 

 - Valentines Day will soon be here.  The Wild Acorn is prepared to help express your caring in a non-fattening way.  I'm always glad to make suggestions and help you with your choice.  And to make it even better:

 - Sale!  Starting Thurday, Feb. 9 through the 18, The Wild Acorn will be having a sale.  Some artists will be reducing the price of some of their work for this short time.  The Wild Acorn will have a table of reduced items and as space is made, new things will be added.  Time to clean house!
